Nanosonics' Advisory Board is intended to provide independent scientific, product development, governance and general commercial advice to the executive and Board of Directors.

Steve Kritzler
Mr Kritzler is a Director of Aeris Technologies Limitedd. He has over 30 years experience in commercial R&D in the areas of pharmaceutical, medical, cosmetic and specialty industrial lubricants. He holds more than 16 international patents and patent applications, with a variety of products emanating from these patents, now in general use worldwide.

Carolyn Hewson
Ms Hewson graduated in Economics (with honours) from the University of Adelaide and subsequently completed a Masters of Arts in Economics at Cambridge University. She joined Schroders Australia Investment Bank in 1981 becoming an Executive Director of Schroders in 1989. Ms Hewson is currently a Non-Executive Director of three Australian publicly listed companies Westpac, AGL and BT Investment Management. She has also served as a Director on the Boards of CSR, AMP, South Australia Water and the Economic Development Board of South Australia. Ms Hewson's current community involvement includes board or advisory roles with the Australian Charities Fund, YWCA of NSW, the Neurosurgical Research Foundation and The Royal Humane Society.

Dr Philip Stricker
Associate Professor Stricker is Chairman of the Urology Department at St Vincent's Clinic Sydney, Director of the St Vincent's Prostate Cancer Centre Sydney and Conjoint Associate Professor in Surgery at the University of New South Wales. Dr Stricker is a prostate cancer expert and has very extensive experience in nerve sparing surgery, brachytherapy and the newer forms of treatment of prostate cancer including robotic prostatectomy and High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. Over the last 20 years he has been involved in raising public awareness about prostate cancer and in research. He has published over 50 articles in peer reviewed journals including the Lancet and Journal of National Cancer Institute.

Prof Ron Penny
Professor Penny is currently the Emeritus Professor of Medicine, University of New South Wales Senior Clinical Advisor, Chairman of the Corrections Health Services Board, Chairman of the NSW Blood Products Advisory Committee and Chairman of the NSW SARS Task Force. He has published over 350 medical and scientific papers in prestige national and international journals. Professor Penny is currently involved in the development of several medical products and is also well versed in the commercialisation of medical technology.

Dr Ian Ernst
Dr Ernst has more than 25 years experience in intellectual property including patent drafting, prosecution, and conflict in Australian and other jurisdictions. In addition he possesses 40 years experience in the chemical industry with a background in Applied and Physical Chemistry. As a practicing Patent Attorney Dr Ernst has assisted many multinational chemical and pharmaceutical companies. He has worked closely with Nanosonics since its inception.

Dr Peter Spencer
Dr Spencer has over 25 years experience in the healthcare industry in the USA, Australia and Germany. He has worked in a range of senior positions within Johnson and Johnson Inc for 14 years as well as several start-up companies which have resulted in the successful commercialisation of a number of new businesses. Dr Spencer is currently CEO of Warm Contact Pty Ltd which is developing products for the eye care industry and is a Director of AI Medics Pty Ltd. He has qualifications in Science (BSc), Chemical Engineering BE (Hons 1), Biomedical Engineering (PhD) and a Business Degree from Columbia University, NY (MBA, Hons).

Dr Arthur Brandwood
Dr Brandwood has over 20 years experience in the medical technology field in industry, academia and government, including responsibilities as Director of Devices Registration and Assessment at the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). He is Managing Director of Brandwood Biomedical, one of Australia's foremost independent regulatory advisory firms. Dr Brandwood advises Australia's industry association, AusMedtech, on regulatory policy and represents the Association in consultations with government. Dr Brandwood is Visiting Professor at Sydney University and is both a biologist and a materials engineer. He has also served as Past President of the Australian Society for Biomaterials.

Caroline Beasley
With over 20 years experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry, Ms Beasley has held senior positions in sales, marketing and management with organisations such as AMRAD Pharmaceuticals, Bristol Myers Squibb and Stryker South Pacific. In the last five years, Ms Beasley dedicated herself to developing the Australian medical company, Enterix, taking it from early stage commercialisation to a trade sale to a Fortune 500 Company. She is currently the Division Manager CVT Medical for CT Healthcare. Ms Beasley has extensive experience in start-up technology businesses and plays a key mentoring role for some of Nanosonics' senior executive staff.

Gerard Putt
Mr Putt has over 11 years recent experience in the Medical Device industry as a leader and manager of multiple high level development, engineering and production teams. He graduated in Engineering from the University of Sussex, with postgraduate management studies at AGSM. With a broad ranging background in electronics, building and retailing, he has extensive experience in bringing complex medical devices through the design and development process and into volume manufacturing. Gerard is currently a Head of Manufacturing with ResMed Limited, a global provider of sleep and respiratory medicine products.
