Gina is credentialed in Adult Echo as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer and in Abdomen as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. She has done work for GE Healthcare as an Ultrasound Applications Specialist and as a sonographer for 5 years. She has experience in Echocardiography, Vascular, Abdomen, OB/GYN, Small Parts, Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy totalling 14 years. Gina is based in New York on Long Island and is responsible for providing clinical education and support to customers to Nanosonics customers.*

Episode 2: Ultrasound During COVID-19: A German Perspective
In this episode we talk to Hicham Benkhai to discuss the advantages of ultrasound use in COVID-19 positive environments in comparison to other imaging modalities. With increased usage, it is important to ensure ultrasound equipment is properly cleaned and disinfected for use.
Hicham, who has a background in human biology with focus on hygiene and environmental medicine, has drawn infection prevention knowledge from scientific work in cell biology, microbiology and hygiene at the German Institute for Hygiene Environmental Medicine at the University Hospital Greifswald, under the direction of one of Germany’s leading hygiene expert members of the German Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention (KRINKO). He is the Nanosonics Territory Sales Manager for Bavaria, Germany.
Episode 3: COVID-19 and infection prevention for OB/GYN settings
In this episode Lisa Waldowski discusses infection prevention best practices for maternal and fetal health in light of COVID-19. She reviews recommendations from federal guidelines and professional societies and discusses the importance of proper reprocessing of reusable medical equipment to help mitigate the risk of cross-contamination.
Lisa is a board certified Infection Prevention and Control expert and nurse consultant with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. An authority in the accreditation and regulatory standards, Lisa spent five years as the enterprise Infection Prevention and Control Specialist with The Joint Commission (TJC). Now Senior Consultant with TiER1 Healthcare, she works with hospitals and health systems to assess their current state of compliance and provides recommendations toward achieving safe, quality care. Lisa holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Master of Science in Nursing.
